The International Office Postgraduate Taught scholarship is awarded to international fee rate students beginning their full time studies at Queen's University Belfast in September 2018 - View international tuition fees

Award value

Year one award of £2000 (fee rate 1) or £3000 (fee rate 2). Queen's Management School postgraduate taught programmes will not be considered for this scholarship.

About the Award

All new International students beginning their first year of full-time postgraduate taught study in Queen's University Belfast in September 2018 who meet the conditions of their academic offer will receive an International Office Postgraduate Taught Scholarship. No application is necessary.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Students must hold an offer for a place on a full-time postgraduate taught programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus, starting in the academic year 2018-19 and meet any academic and language conditions attached to their offer as stated in their offer letter
    Exclusions apply – see point 9 below
  2. Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this discount. Students paying NI/GB/EU fees are not eligible for the International Office Postgraduate Taught Scholarship.
  3. The discount is awarded for the first year of study only, and is deducted from gross tuition fees upon enrolment.
  4. Students must register on their degree programme by the start date outlined in their offer.
  5. Scholarships may not be deferred to the following academic year.
  6. Students must be self-funded.
  7. Where Queen’s University Belfast has agreed discounted tuition fees with partner institutions, those students benefiting from these arrangements will not be eligible for the Queen’s Postgraduate Taught Scholarship.
  8. Students in receipt of full funding from external sponsorship bodies will not be eligible for the Queen’s Postgraduate Taught Scholarship.
  9. The following programmes are excluded from eligibility for the International Office Postgraduate Taught Scholarship:
    > Postgraduate: PG Certificate and PG Diploma programmes, MTh Theology, All Queen's Management Postgraduate Taught programmes
    > ALL Distance Learning programmes, foundation degree programmes and non-standard fee courses, including part-time programmes.
  10. Students must request authorisation from the International Office before making any changes to their programme of study. Where changes are made without authorisation being granted, the scholarship may be withdrawn and students may be required to repay the scholarship in full.
  11. In the event that a student has received scholarship offers for a number of different programmes at Queen’s University, they will only be able to redeem one scholarship award. This will be the scholarship award for the course onto which they enrol in the 2018-19 academic year.
  12. International scholarships cannot be used in conjunction with any other University scholarship. Students can however use their scholarship in conjunction with the Early-Bird reward discount
  13. The University reserves the right to vary all or any scholarship awards, discounts and regulations at its sole discretion.

 

Vice-Chancellor's International Attainment Scholarship

Two full fee scholarships are available to exceptionally talented international students who will be starting their full- time Masters degree programme at Queen’s University Belfast in September 2018 - View international tuition fees

Award value

Full tuition fees paid for all years of programme, up to a maximum of two years.

About the Award

All new International applicants holding an offer for a place on a full-time postgraduate taught programme starting in September 2018 have the opportunity to apply for the Vice-Chancellor's International Attainment Scholarship. Exclusions apply, please see below for more details.

Eligibility

  1. Students must be classified as international fee paying students paying the international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this scheme. Students paying NI/GB/EU fees are not eligible for international scholarships. Students applying for Queen's Management School postgraduate taught programmes will be considered for this scholarship.
  2. Students must hold an offer of a place on a full-time postgraduate taught programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus, starting in the academic year 2018-19 and meet any academic and language conditions attached to their offer as stated in their offer letter.  
  3. Students studying on a part-time basis or on distance learning programmes are not eligible for these scholarships.

Exceptions

Non-standard fee courses, including PG Certificate and PG Diploma programmes, MTh Theology, with the exception of Queen's University Management School postgraduate taught programmes.

Queen's University alumni returning for full-time postgraduate taught study; and Exchange and Study Abroad students and International Summer School Students progressing to a full-time postgraduate taught programme will be offered a scholarship of 20% off tuition fees - View international tuition fees

About the Award

The Queen’s Loyalty Scholarship is a 20% reduction on first year gross tuition fees available to Queen’s University alumni paying International tuition rates returning for a full duration postgraduate programme in the academic year 2018/19. Terms and conditions apply.

  3. Students must complete an application form via the Queen’s University Belfast website to verify their previous programme of study.
  4. The discount is awarded for the first year of study only, and is deducted from gross tuition fees upon enrolment.
  5. Students must register on their degree programme by the start date outlined in their offer.
  6. Scholarships may not be deferred to the following academic year.
  7. Students must be self-funded.

The Queen’s Family Scholarship is a 20% reduction on first year gross tuition fees available to children, sisters and brothers of Queen’s alumni and current students beginning a full duration course in September 2018 who pay International fee rates. Terms and conditions apply.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. The Queen’s Family Scholarship is exclusively available to new international students beginning a full duration postgraduate programme at the Queen's University Belfast campus in the academic year 2018/19. Exclusions apply – see point 11 below.
  2. The Queen’s Family Scholarship is available to children and siblings of current Queen’s University Belfast or Queen’s University Belfast Alumni. Step children and step siblings will also be eligible subject to point 5 below.
  3. The scholarship may only be claimed by students whose sibling or parent is currently pursuing, or has already completed, a full duration* undergraduate or postgraduate programme at Queen's University Belfast. (*All years of programme must be completed at Queen’s University Belfast).
  4. Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this discount. Students paying NI/GB/EU fees are not eligible for the Queen’s Family Scholarship
  5. Students must complete an application form via the Queen’s University Belfast website to claim the Scholarship.
  6. Students wishing to avail of the Queen’s Family Scholarship may be required to provide additional verification of their relationship to the current Queen’s University Belfast student or Queen’s University Belfast Alumni through whom they are claiming the Scholarship.
  7. The discount is awarded for the first year only, and is deducted from gross tuition fees.
  8. Students must be self-funded.
  9. Where Queen’s University Belfast has agreed discounted tuition fees with partner institutions, those students benefiting from these arrangements will not be eligible for the Queen’s Family Scholarship.

Early Bird Reward

10% discount on gross fees exclusively for new students holding an unconditional offer and who pay fees in full, by 30 June 2018. May be used in conjunction with other scholarships - View international tuition fees

10% discount on gross fees - may be used in conjunction with other scholarships.

About the Award

A 10% reduction is available to new international students beginning a full time course in September 2018 who have both met the conditions of their offer and paid 90% of gross tuition fees by the stipulated deadline.

Terms and Conditions

1. The Early Bird Reward discount is exclusively available to new international students beginning a full-time course in September 2018. Exclusions apply – see point 9 below.

2. Students must hold an unconditional offer of a place on a full-time programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus starting in the academic year 2018-19. The following deadlines apply:

    • Undergraduate students must pay 90% of their Year 1 fees by 30 June, or within 5 days* of their offer becoming unconditional; and not later than 23.59 GMT on 22 August 2018 to avail of the discount, subject to T&Cs. *This is to prevent delays in CAS issuance during the peak period.
    • Postgraduate students must pay 90% of their Year 1 fees by 23.59 GMT on 30 June 2018 to avail of the discount, subject to T&Cs.

3. Students wishing to avail of the Early Bird Reward discount must email proof of transfer to internationalscholarships@qub.ac.uk.

4. The discount is awarded for the first year only, and is deducted from gross tuition fees.

5. The EBR may be used in conjunction with other International Office scholarships, namely: International Office Undergraduate, Postgraduate Taught & Postgraduate Research Scholarships; Queen’s Family Scholarship. EBR may also be used in conjunction with CQC scholarships.

6. Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this discount. Students paying NI/GB/EU fees are not eligible for the Early Bird Reward discount.

7. Students must be self-funded.

8. Students in receipt of full funding from external sponsorship bodies will not be eligible for the Early Bird Reward discount.

9. Students who benefit from partnership agreements should contact the International Office via internationalscholarships@qub.ac.uk to check their eligibility.

GREAT Scholarships 2018

Two full fee scholarships are available to exceptionally talented Indian students who will be starting their full- time Masters degree programme at Queen’s University Belfast in September 2018 in the following subject areas: Construction and Project Management, English, Film, International Relations, Law, Public Health.

Award value

Full tuition fees paid for one year Masters programme.

About the Award

All new Indian applicants holding an offer for a place on a full-time one year postgraduate taught programme starting in September 2018 have the opportunity to apply for the GREAT Scholarship. Exclusions apply, please see below for more details.

  1. Students must be classified as international fee paying students paying the international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this scheme. Students paying NI/GB/EU fees are not eligible for GREAT scholarships.
  2. Students must hold an offer of a place on a full-time postgraduate taught programme (in one of the following areas; Construction and Project Management, English, Film, Law, International Relations, and Public Health) at the Queen’s University Belfast campus, starting in the academic year 2018-19 and meet any academic and language conditions attached to their offer as stated in their offer letter.
  3. Students studying on a part-time basis, or on foundation degrees or distance learning programmes, or any other programme with non-standard fee rates are not eligible for these scholarships.
  4. Candidates must be able to finance living expenses.
  5. GREAT scholarships cannot be used in conjunction with any other University scholarship.

Exceptions

All Distance Learning programmes and non-standard fee courses.

Any programme not in one of the following subject areas: Construction and Project Management, English, Film, Law, International Relations, and Public Health.
