Dr Joe Duffy
In 2014, Queen’s social work lecturer Dr Joe Duffy was named one of the UK’s most outstanding teachers.
Involved in pioneering innovative teaching methods with carers and service users, Dr Duffy was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) – one of the most prestigious awards in UK higher education.
Professor Joe O'Sullivan
Professor O’Sullivan has taught our medical students for the past eight years, helping to refine the course in response to student feedback.
As Clinical director of the NI Cancer Centre, Professor O’Sullivan has led the development of a team of dedicated researchers to treat prostate cancer, and is heavily involved with local cancer charities. He is committed to bringing scientific discovery into clinical practice.
Building for the future
The McClay Library
An investment of £350m in the Queen’s campus over the last ten years has created the award-winning £50m McClay Library, the £9m Students' Union, and the £4m Graduate School.
New homes for the Schools of Law, Biological Sciences and Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science will be opened in the near future.
