Dr Urbain is a Senior Research Fellow at the Min-On Music Research Institute (MOMRI), Tokyo, and Director of the Toda Institute for Global Peace and Policy Research, Tokyo and Honolulu.

Olivier currently holds a Leverhulme Research Professorship at the Mitchell Institute, and will be on campus until 22 December 2016.
