Photonic Integration and Advanced Data Storage (PIADS)

The Centre for Doctoral Training offers unique PhD training in Photonic Integration and Advanced Data Storage, leading to a joint degree from Queen's and the University of Glasgow

Designed and delivered in close collaboration with an impressive range of industrial partners, the CDT provides a cutting-edge and innovative research environment for doctoral students to develop the new technologies, products and systems required to address the expanding data storage needs of today’s fast moving digital world.

Centre for Doctoral Training in Cyber Security

CSIT's Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) comprises a taught element of six modules over two semesters. Before students embark on their PhD in Cyber Security research project for the rest of the four years

At the end of Year 2, or 3, students will be afforded the opportunity to undertake an internship, with one of CSIT’s many industrial, academic or government partners in order to broaden their wider expertise. CSIT CDT programme will also include a placement at CSIT labs in year four, focusing on developing commercially viable business ideas.
