AHSS Work Placement Bursary

Bursary support can help alleviate financial pressures

Our Work Placement Bursary for students studying in Arts, Humanities and Social Science seeks to provide support for students planning to undertake a paid or unpaid work placement lasting longer than two weeks.

There are two bursary schemes open, one for undergraduate students and one for postgraduate taught students.

Undergraduate students

UG Applicant Guidance Notes

Before you apply please make sure you have read our applicant guidance notes and agreed to our terms and conditions.

Students must be studying in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and must be in receipt of no other funding. Placements can be paid or unpaid (dependent on location) and must last a minimum of two weeks. Eligible placements based outside Northern Ireland can be paid or unpaid, and placements based in Northern Ireland must be unpaid.

UG Application Process

The next round of applications will open 1 September 2019

Applications for 2019-2020 can be made on a rolling basis throughout the academic year. Students should expect to receive notification of the outcome of their application within 10 days of the closest assessment period date.

Postgraduate students
