Title:
Choosing Optimal Production Systems for LFA Beef and Sheep Farms.
Supervisor:
Dr D. Anderson (QUB)
This research project
aims to determine what the best combination of production factors is for optimal
financial performance of LFA beef and sheep farms. As part of this project, a
face-to-face questionnaire survey will enable active beef and sheep farms in the
LFA to be characterized. Modern information technology and modeling software
will then be used to produce representative farm models, which can be tested to
determine the optimal production systems for LFA Beef/sheep farms under a range
of possible future scenarios.
