1st EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON POLITICS AND GENDER
21-23 JANUARY 2009

The ECPR Standing Group on Gender and Politics is delighted to announce the 1st European Conference on Gender and Politics to take place at Queens University, Belfast from 21-23 January 2009. Approximately 300 participants are expected and the aim is that this will become a bi-annual international conference.

In addition to 60 panels the programme contains a keynote address by Professor Judith Squires (University of Bristol) titled 'Gender Equality: Institutional and Theoretical Challenges' and a roundtable about the EU-funded gender and politics projects.
