Artists in Virtual Residence

CDEN invites Artists in Virtual Residence to use this website to develop and present their work on emotions. We are interested in artists (visual artists, musicians, composers, dancers and other performers) who explore emotional dynamics and who are interested in interacting with students and researchers through particular projects. The results of these projects are presented on this website, and will be used as research/teaching resources. If you are intersted in being appointed  Artist in Virtual Residence, please contact

Our first Artist in Residence is the US-based Ghanaian painter/poet/performer George Hughes. At present we are developing a project with him around the themes of Performance, Race and the Body. More detailed information will follow.

Our second artist is the Canadian artist Kate Hollett. At present we are discussion forms of cooperation, and her work on emotions (I Love You) is used as teaching material in the module Anthropology of Art, School of History and Anthropology, Queens University Belfast.
