Staff and students from Queen’s return to Sarajevo to run a 10-day site-specific performer training programme with students from the Sarajevo Academy of Performing Arts.

30 hours of workshop involving students working together intensively, practically and collaboratively around the theme of childhood memory, culminating in a public performance as part of MESS Festival entitled "We Are Not Afraid".

A documentary film in response to the project directed by Declan Keeney and edited by Conan McIvor will be premiered early 2011 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The Belfast/Sarajevo Initiative is an ongoing partnership developed to explore the possibility of establishing a creative dialogue between two cities experiencing post-conflict situations. It was setup in 2008 by Michelle Young, Merita Zekovic and Niall Rea.
