MSSc in Irish Migration Studies - (see dissertations completed)

The MSSc and the future of collaboration with QUB

May 2009 marked the end of the teaching of the MSSc in Irish Migration Studies in its recent format. Students still enrolled on the course may submit their research dissertations in either September 2009 or September 2010 in order to graduate in the respective Winter ceremony. Given the very positive outcome of the review of the course carried out by Queen’s in the Spring of 2008, it has been agreed that a new course more particularly focussed on family migration history, directed particularly at adult learners and taught at the Centre for Migration Studies will be prepared for 2010-11. From January 2010 Dr Fitzgerald will offer a twelve week module on Irish Migration History as part of the School of History’s MA programme. Although this module will be taught on a weekly basis on the Queen’s campus, students will also visit and use the resources of CMS and UAFP.
