Criteria for Admissions

In addition to the general entry requirements set by the University (http://www.qub.ac.uk/Study/PostgraduateStudy/How-to-apply/Entry-requirements/), the subject-specific requirements for admission to the programme are:

A minimum 2.2 Honours degree (or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University) in a suitable mathematics, science, or engineering discipline.

Applicants with non-standard qualifications will be considered on an individual basis.

Admission under the Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL) may be considered (http://go.qub.ac.uk/RPLPolicy).

Non-EEA nationals must also satisfy UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) immigration requirements for English language for visa purposes. Evidence of an IELTS* score of 6.5, with not less than 5.5 in any component, or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the University is required (*taken within the last 2 years).

The programme aims to produce graduates who:
