Helping Students to Learn

Designed for: Academic staff, research staff, teaching assistants. 

Facilitated by: LDS staff 

Aim: To help staff understand the types of difficulties their students may encounter with studying and to suggest some strategies for helping students learn more effectively. 

Content:

  • Difficulties students may encounter with studying
  • Recognising and diagnosing student difficulties
  • Helping students with essay and report writing
  • Developing students’ presentation and discussion skills
