Flexible Teaching Space: Induction and Swapshop

Event Description

The workshop is an opportunity for new and experienced users of the Flexible Teaching Space to familiarise themselves with the equipment available and consider ideas for activities. Preparing and Giving Lectures (Part 2)

Event Description

Date:    22 October 2014

Time:   2.00 pm – 5.00 pm

Additional course on:  4 February 2015, 2.00 pm – 5.00 pm

12 participants maximum, in two small groups of up to 6 each

Content:

Participants will be asked to prepare a 7 minute mini-lecture in advance of the course and deliver this on the day in a small group of 6 participants (maximum).  Participants will receive developmental feedback on their mini lecture from the group members and the facilitator.

Aim:  To help participants to practise their skills in lecturing, using micro teaching.

TurningPoint (PRS) Update

Event Description

Time:   2.00 – 4.00 pm

Content:

PowerPoint 2013 will be installed in all teaching rooms for 2014-15 academic year. This will require use of TurningPoint 5 for PRS handset voting. This workshop will help trained PRS users to orient themselves to the new version of the software, find and execute the features they currently employ and explore new features.
