MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) are high quality, accessible online courses offered free to potentially huge numbers of learners. They open up the possibility of Higher Education study at major institutions to all without the requirements of entry qualifications or prior study regardless of where you live in the world.

 

Identity, conflict and public space: contest and transformation

The next Queen's MOOC to be released is Identity, conflict and public space: contest and transformation, it will by Dominic Bryan, the Director of Institute of Irish Studies with support from Centre for Educational Development and Information Services.  This 6 week course introduces the learner to issues around the use of public space to express identity.

Critical Listening for Studio Production

The next Mooc to be delivered by Queen’s is Critical Listening for Studio Production. It was developed by Chris Corrigan and the School of Creative Arts with support from Centre for Educational Development and Information Services. This 6 week course is a technical ear training programme designed to improve critical listening in a music studio context.
