Electronic portfolio (E-folio) -

The Centre for Educational Development at Queen's has developed an electronic portfolio (E-folio) to support the student both in engaging with and recording PDP.  The software provides students with a mix of both generic and locally customisable templates to support the student through the four main stages of the PDP cycle.  The locally customisable tools can be used on a School by School basis to promote supports, skills and experiences that are relevant to the students chosen course, as well as the wider services available to all Queen's students.  Among the facilities that the E-folio offers are; a "My School" page where Schools can promote supports and activities that are relevant to the area of study, an e-mail link to Personal Tutors and a means of regularly updating and recording goals, plans and achievements. The E-folio encourages active and meaningful reflection and planning through customised skills audits, CV builders, action planners and exercises to prepare for major tasks such as work placement or final year dissertation. It also enables the student to share relevant information with a Personal Tutor through its e-mail link and download facilities. The tutor has access to a specialised version which allows them to view general data about the students they are supporting plus statistical information regarding how often they are using their E-folio.

PDP (Personal Development Planning) -
