If you are staying with a friend you need to obtain a sponsorship form from them, signed by them, showing proof of their residence and evidence of their income and certified at the local Town Hall where they are registered (this document is a total of three pages). The Belgium Visa Application Centre can post passports as long as the address is provided at the time your application is being registered. Applications will be returned via Special Delivery mode only. You must make your preferred delivery mode known at the time of submission, as once your receipt is issued; the Centre cannot change the mode of return of your application. This service is restricted to Royal Mail coverage in the UK and Northern Ireland only. This is an optional extra service, and costs £7.40 per visa application. This fee has to be paid by postal order at the time of your application, and cannot be opted for later. You should send a photocopy of each document, unless the original is requested (tickets, marriage certificates, passport, bank statements, insurance documents etc). Documents will not be returned. You will need to prove that Belgium will be your main country of stay/maximum period of stay (for entry to multiple countries). |
