The service incurs a service charge of £24, in addition to the visa aplication fee. This fee is for the VFS services provided, and is non-refundable.

|Bank Statements||P||Bank statements for the past 3 months showing evidence of sufficient funds for the duration of your visit. Please note that cash and credit card statements are not acceptable proof.|
|Department Letter||P||Addressed to the Swiss Embassy, confirming student status and attendance, the purpose and duration of the trip, and the proposed date of returning to University.|

|Travel/medical Insurance||P||Minimum of €30,000, valid for all Schengen states, covering emergency medical treatment, hospital treatment, urgent ambulance transportation, repatriation back to your home country/UK if required for medical reasons or death during your stay.|
|Visa fee:||€60 (£52, subject to exchange rates). For nationals of Russia, Moldova, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and children between the age of 6-12 years, the Schengen visa fee amounts to £31. There is an additional £24 service charge for all applications when using the Visa Application Centre service. All fees are non-refundable.|
|Payment Method:||Postal Orders. Credit/Debit cards may be accepted in person at the Visa Application Centre.|
|Comments:||In addition to the original documents, you should also bring a photocopy of all documents requested (including the application form). The Embassy does not provide copies, therefore you should please ensure that you have made them before submitting the application.
If you are visiting family or friends, you require a signed letter of invitation from the host in Switzerland containing his/her address, phone number as well as a copy of the host’s passport and residence permit (if the host is not Swiss).
