Willow Walk, Phase 11 of the redevelopment of Elms Student Village, opened in September 2012. The £14.5m scheme provides purpose-built apartment accommodation (over 250 bed spaces, including family units) and seeks to meet the particular needs of international and postgraduate students.
The apartments are built in a crescent shape facing onto an open green space and this is designed to help foster a sense of community. They are located in an enclosed development on the perimeter of the Elms Village, which is within walking distance from the Main campus. While the accommodation is clearly separate and different in nature to the undergraduate provision provided at the Elms, postgraduate and international students can still enjoy the high level of security and support services offered on the site.
