Disabled Permit Application Process

For staff or students seeking a disabled car parking permit, the following steps must be followed:

  • Staff or student with a blue badge - If a staff member is in possession of a blue badge, they will be offered a disabled car parking permit at the University free of charge.  Staff must complete the  Disabled Parking Application Form A  , and return this completed, with a copy of both sides of their blue badge, to the Estates Directorate. 
  • Staff or student without a blue badge - If a staff member is not in possession of a blue badge, yet feel they require a car parking permit for a limited period due to mobility concerns, they must complete  Disabled Parking Application Form A   and  Disabled Permits Form B and return to the Estates Directorate. Once the required forms have been received by the Estates Directorate, Occupational Health will be contacted to arrange a consultation for the staff member.  Staff gaining a permit through Occupational Health, will have to pay full-time car parking tariffs throughout car park use.
