Horizon 2020

Horizon 2020 is the European Union’s new research and innovation funding mechanism for 2014-2020. H2020 follows on from FP7 and has been allocated a budget of nearly €80bn to support research across the EU.

7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7)

Framework Programme 7 was the main instrument by which the European Commission funded research and development in the European Economic Area and covered the period 2007-2013.

While H2020 is the current EC programme for research and innovation, the University has active Framework Programme 7 (FP7) projects.

Professional Support for H2020/FP7 Research Grants
Research Finance

The Research Finance Office (RFO) has expertise in the financial management of EC-funded Research schemes. The RFO can provide the following for H2020/FP7 awards:

  • Financial overview of the project for its duration
  • Preparation of financial statements to the EC and other parties ('Form C')
  • Advice for the use of resources and the provision of management reports
  • Audit preparation, co-ordination of site visits and follow-up of audit findings
