Estates and Physical Resource Administration

The Estates Directorate is responsible for the planning, development, maintenance and management of the University estate. The mission of the directorate includes the provision of a quality research environment. Reference is made in the guidance notes to the Application stage regarding the need for consideration of estates and physical resource issues when planning, costing and preparing an application for a research grant. It is recommended that the Principal Investigator should liaise with the Estates Planning Officer when developing a research project that may entail a change to the University estate or physical resources. This is recommended to ensure that the provision of necessary estates and physical services to facilitate the research project is feasible and all associated costs are included in the grant application.
