Procedures to Follow When a Research Grant has Been Awarded
During the time spent applying for the research funding and (if applicable) negotiating contractual matters you will have been provided with support and assistance from the Research Support Office. In addition to supporting researchers in pre-award activities, the Research Support Office also provides support on a range of post-award activities with a focus on grant financial administration.
When the sponsor has sent you a letter of offer or contract, it is important that you forward a copy of these to the Research Support Office and to your Head of School. On receipt of an acceptable letter of offer, and/or when an acceptable contract has been agreed, the Research Support Office will pass the research grant file to the Research Finance Office to enable the support of the finances for your research grant.
