May 2015 - Athena SWAN award results are announced.  Queen's University Belfast is once again at the forefront of gender equality practices in the UK after the latest round of Athena SWAN awards.  Queen's has retained its institutional Athena SWAN silver award, making it one of only 5 UK universities to hold an institutional silver.  For further details click here.




 June 2014 - QUB Inclusive Employment Scheme launched

‌The QUB inclusive employment scheme was launched by the Minister for Employment and Learning Dr Stephen Farry on 29 May 2014.  The QUB scheme which is supported by the Department for Employment and Learning affords 12 people with a disability a paid placement in various schools and directorates throughout Queens.  This programme is a great opportunity for those who have been unable to get work, or have had to leave work because of a disability, to develop skills and gain valuable work experience.  The scheme has been identified as an example of best practice by the Department of Employment and Learning and the Equality Commission for N.I.
