Athena SWAN

The University was conferred with the first Silver Athena SWAN University award in May 2012.

It was announced in April 2013 that two other Universities have achieved this standard, Imperial College London and University of Nottingham.

Bronze Award

• Pharmacy
• Maths and Physics

In conferring the silver award to the University, Athena Swan described Queens as a, "National leader in gender-equitable employment practices".
