Queen’s University has received the European Commission’s HR Excellence in Research Award. This is a UK-wide process, incorporating the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers and QAA Code of Practice for Research Degree Programmes, that acknowledges alignment with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for their Recruitment. Concordat to support the career development of researchers
The Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers sets out a vision of working practices, roles and responsibilities which should further the attractiveness and sustainability of research careers in the UK and was agreed by the major funders and employers of researchers.
In response to the Concordat Queen’s produced the Researchers Career Development booklet and as a further development a Concordat Implementation Plan was produced. This Implementation Plan was part of a successful application for the European Commission’s HR Excellence in Research
