Congatulations to the HR Marathon Team - Una Short, Cathy Robson, Clare Carson, Laura Lynch and Laura Nelson. The team finished 11th out of the All Female relay teams and in the top 20% of all the relay teams. So far over £900 has been raised for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland.

25/04/2013: Athena SWAN departmental Gold award
Queen’s becomes one of only three institutions in the UK to hold a departmental Gold Award and the only School of Biological Sciences to secure Gold.
The School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences has also received a Silver award, confirming Queen’s position in the UK as the university with the most departmental silver awards. Since 2011 Queen’s has been the only UK university to hold an Athena SWAN institutional Silver award.

Francis Guinane, Training and Development Manager and Elaine Devine from Personnel recently represented the HR Directorate at a presentation event at Hillsborough Castle to receive the official certificate and plaque for achieving the IIP Award.
