International Applicants and Staff
International Staff
Staff joining us from other countries will find that there is a multicultural dimension to our University with over 80 countries and all (inhabited) continents represented amongst our staff and students. Around 13% of the workforce is from countries other than the UK or Republic of Ireland, increasing to 23% of academic staff and 34% of research staff. Growing our international presence is one of our key strategic priorities and seen as vital to delivering our objective of becoming a Global Top 100 University. The composition of the Northern Ireland population has changed dramatically over the past 10 years and is today vibrant and culturally diverse. However, many people will find relocation to any foreign country extremely daunting. It can involve challenges and drastic changes to living and working practices and complex considerations for employees and their families. We are currently reviewing all our information for international staff, to ensure it meets the current needs of new joiners and existing international staff members. Please contact us to let us know if you have any specific questions or if there is other information you would like to see included on this site. In the meantime, useful information can be found from the following links.
