Induction

This section provides you with information to help you settle in to your new role in Queen’s University Belfast. Links to additional information in Queen’s and some checklists and guidance are available below.

Induction in Queen’s consists of a number of elements:

  • Local Induction – your Line Manager/Head of Area will ensure that an effective induction will be arranged to suit your role. This may involve support and guidance from colleagues to help you understand your role and make sure you have the necessary resources, understanding and information to settle in.
  • Welcome and Orientation events – these sessions complement induction at local level. They are designed to introduce new staff to colleagues, information and support services relevant to the early stages of working at Queen’s. You will receive an invitation to the most appropriate event for your role.
