Reviewing performance and why it is important

Regular reviewing of performance is a key component of employee development. Through 1-to-1s and annual performance reviews, employees are supported to achieve their potential and deliver in their roles. Your performance review is the forum for an annual discussion between you and your manager to: review your progress against previous objectives and role expectations; provide two-way feedback; discuss and career aspirations and development requirements, set objectives; and plan your support and development.

It is important to consider how staff undertake the role and achieve their objectives, linking to our Core Values of Integrity, Connected, Ambition, Respect and Excellence (ICARE) and Professional Standards.
