  • Communicate with students via discussion forums, email and broadcast messages
  • Set up tutorial groups - provide group resources
  • Allow students to self-assess with immediate feedback
  • Allow students to upload assigments & receive feedback
  • Evaluate student and course performances using data provided by the system
  • Lecturers can make changes to a module, from any web accessible location and these changes will be available to students immediately.

Students are automatically registered for all their modules with Queen’s Online.  However, only modules that have been registered by the tutors will be visible to students.  To log into Queen’s Online, students require their student number and their University password.

VLE Resource Copy

Owner Information Services - Learning & Teaching Division
 Description

If you are registered for a module in consecutive years it is possible to copy resources/folders from one academic year to the next.  This will save you starting your structure again from scratch.  All reources/folders will be copied.  You will need to edit the current year to reflect any changes.  Note that if you have used dates in the resources (e.g. a header/footer with "2006/07") you will need to delete the content and upload a new copy.

If you were not involved in the modules in previous years i.e. you have inherited the module – you need to get listed as involved in the previous year so that you can copy the resources across.

 Access

From Queen’s Online Teaching, click on Resource Copy

A list of available module for the current and previous year(s) will be displayed.  Contact your departmental VLE contact if you do not have access to the module in the previous year.

Academics check that each student has made appropriate selections.

Pre-enrolment is completed before Semester 2 exams.  Once progression has been decided the students are finalised in their selected modules.
