Facilities & Services Team

The Facilities and Services Administrative Support Unit develops, supports and maintains modern computer-based information systems to enable our clients to meet their business needs in an efficient, competitive and up-to-date fashion. This happens in a number of ways:

  • Developing bespoke systems that reflect the business needs.
  • Developing and maintaining data repositories to support the business function.
  • Advising on the use of appropriate technologies.
  • Assisting with the procurement and installation of third party systems.
  • Training client’s staff, and QUB staff where appropriate, in the developed systems.

Main Service Areas

  • Development and support of the Help Desk System for Estates.
  • Development and support of the Property Database for Estates.
  • Development and Support of the on-line Directory Information System.
  • Development and support of the on-line Catering Ordering System.
  • Evaluation of new IT technologies.
