IELTS at Queen's University is a pen and paper test. Computer based IELTS tests are not currently available in the UK.
Candidates are tested in four skill areas: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking English.
Test dates January to December 2013.
How to apply? There are two ways in which you can apply for an IELTS test.
1. You can apply online by clicking here
2. You can submit an application form.
A completed application form must be submitted before a place can be reserved on any test date. You can download the application form and supporting information below.

Please complete the application form (fully and correctly). This must include the documents listed in this 1-page PDF. Incomplete applications will be returned to you.
How to pay? The IELTS test fee is £125.00 for 2012. You can pay by one of the following methods:
- By cheque/postal order made payable to "The Queen’s University of Belfast".
- You can pay in person: The IELTS Office is open Mon-Fri: 9am – 5pm. The IELTS Office is not open on Saturday or Sunday.
OR - You can send your payment by post: Send the form and the fee to the Language Centre, McClay Library, Queen’s University Belfast, BT7 1LP. Please DO NOT send cash in the post.
Note: You will require Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer to download pdf files. This software can be downloaded from the Adobe website.
