Information Services

New Staff

Getting Started

Information Services (IS) is keen to support all new staff arriving at the University.  This web page (together with the 'IT Quick Start Guide', given out by Personnel) have been produced to help new staff get started with IT and access the highest quality information services and resources required to carry out research, education or administrative activities in an effective way.

Note: This web page deals specifically with IT and does not cover the Library.  However, the Library also provides a wealth of online information for staff and students.

The McClay Library
The majority of Information Services staff are located in The McClay Library, which is one of Northern Ireland's newest landmark buildings. The McClay Library was officially opened in July 2010 by one of Queen’s most famous alumni, Nobel prize-winning poet Seamus Heaney.
