Interconnect
Ethernet - all nodes
Infiniband low latency high bandwidth interconnects to 36 nodes within the cluster for a total of 288 cores connected by Infiniband. A QLogic Quad Data Rate (QDR) switch and Double Data Rate (DDR) Host Channel Adapters (HCAs) are used.
Storage
2 x Dell PowerEdge R710 2U rack-mount IO nodes act as NFS file servers
2 x Intel Xeon E5530 2.4GHz processors
24GB RAM (12 x 2GB 1066MHz)
3 x146GB SAS 15K rpm disks
These IO nodes connect to a Dell MD3000 storage unit providing 36TB of shared disk.
