Information Services supports staff and students using the Queen's Online Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) in a number of ways.
Before the start of each semester Information Services and the Centre for Educational Development (CED) provide an introductory course for staff in the VLE. It is highly recommended that new staff attend this course. The course is normally delivered in September and January.
Other courses/workshops are available to support learning and teaching in the University, as well as a series of learning and teaching events which are held throughout the year. CED also provide a number of useful case studies on their website, as well as a wealth of other e-learning information.
New students will be introduced to the VLE during an IT induction session at the beginning of the academic year. Visit the Student Computing (moved 16 Sept 2014 website to find out more about support for students.
Useful online videos and step-by-step manuals are available on the SharePoint Training Site. A list of Frequently Asked Questions have also been collated. There is also a useful list of features which are currently available within the VLE. Click on the links on the right of this page to access this support.
