Basics
The following 3 steps provide details on how to get started using your computer at Queen's:
1. Usernames/Passwords (single sign on password for Queen's Online, Queen's Email, Novell-Login and Queen's-issued personal Athens accounts)
2. Register your Computer (get an IP Address to connect to the Queen's network)
3. Set-up your Computer (including information on Windows updates, anti-virus software, spyware removal software, printers etc)
In 2007/2008 Information Services produced an ICT Handbook - which provided core information to staff on how to use their computer (and the ICT services provided through it) in an effective way. The ICT Handbook will be updated for 2010/2011 - but the current version remains useful for all staff and particularly new staff. The current Handbook is available to download in Adobe Reader format.
