Using Email Effectively

You must ensure that suitable email client software is installed on your computer to enable you to use the University's email service. (Note: If you require assistance with the installation of email software please contact the IT Helpdesk). 

Information Services recommends Outlook but other email client software products are also supported on a 'best effort' basis.  Information Services delivers a number of Outlook training courses.

After applying for a Queen's email account, it is essential that you use it for all formal University email communication.  It is also important that you read your Queen’s email on a regular basis.  The University uses email to disseminate several types of information - for example - the Staff Round Up email is sent approximately once a week with information which often is not available elsewhere.  The page on Webmail provides information on off-campus access to your Queen's email account.
