Content Management System
The Content Management System (CMS) is a user friendly environment enabling web content to be created and maintained without the need for technical knowledge or specialised desktop software. All the functions of the CMS are accessed via a web browser.
Queen's CMS is a javabased product called Sitemanager supplied by TerminalFour (or T4), a Dublin-based company. The service is based on two servers, a Sun Fire V250 which supports the web based user interface and a Windows based SQL Server system to support the database in which the content is held.
