Wireless at Queen's

There is a wireless service available for staff and students at Queen's, which can be set-up and ready to use in 3 quick, easy steps!  But before you attempt to configure your laptop/mac to use the wireless network, you must ensure that the wireless (wifi) option is active. This can be done using either a physical switch or a combination of keys.  The physical switch is normally situated on the front of the laptop/mac. You should check the manufacturer’s documentation for the location of the switch or the key combination. If you have previously configured your laptop/mac successfully and you find that it does not work on subsequent occasions, you should check the switch in case it has somehow been moved to the off position, or retry the key combination.

Click on the relevant links in the left navigation panel to find out how easy it really is to get connected to the Queen's Wireless Network!  A wireless printing service is also available!

Note: If you have previously been using the Odyssey wireless software to connect to the Queen’s Wireless Network you can continue to do so.  It is not necessary to change to the SecureW2 solution.  If you wish to make the change and use SecureW2 in place of the original Odyssey installation, it is important to ensure that the original Odyssey installation has been fully uninstalled before proceeding. SecureW2 will not work properly if Odyssey is also installed on the system.  Instructions for uninstalling software are available in Section 1 in the full manual.
