Wireless Benefits
At present, there are 22 wireless network areas located throughout the campus and this number will continue to increase. Many of these areas are popular with students, enabling them to interact with others, online and face to face.
Note: All wireless areas are indicated by the Queen's Wireless Hotspot logo.

By having a wireless service on campus, students/staff can access:
- The Internet at a time and place which is convenient to them.
- Their Novell network drives i.e. home-space (normally the H: drive) by one of 3 methods:
- Directly by entering the URL: http://www.qub.ac.uk/netstorage/
- By selecting My Files from within Queen’s Online http://www.qol.qub.ac.uk
- By logging on to the Citrix Secure Gateway using https://offcampus.qub.ac.uk (registered users only)
- Their Queen’s email account using Outlook Web Access at https://owa.qub.ac.uk or through My Email in Queen’s Online
- The new wireless printing service.
Remember use of the Internet is governed by the security policies. In line with these policies, access to undesirable websites may be blocked.
