Wireless (for Mac Lion)
Important Note: You should ensure you have up-to-date anti-virus software, a personal firewall and also applied the latest system patches to your Apple Mac, before using the Queen's Wireless Network. Support is available.
To set-up the wireless service on your Apple Macintosh Lion OSX, follow the steps below. A full manual (including troubleshooting) is also available, as well as a useful step by step video showing how to set up Queen's wireless on a MacBook Air. Please read the disclaimer before you begin.
To enable quick and easy access to the Queen's Wireless Network, complete the following steps:
- Download this configuration profile for the Mac Lion on to your USB pen (memory stick)
- On your Mac Lion, insert your USB pen and double click to install the configuration profile
- When the installation is complete, enter your username and password
You should now be connected to the Queen's Wireless Network! In a Wireless Network Area on campus, try opening the Internet on your Mac Lion to confirm the connection.
