Supporting my Studies

Information Services provides support to students in a number of different ways. 

To support your studies and your computing needs - there are many Student Computer AreasĀ (SCAs), offering excellent computing faciliites, located throughout the campus.  Also essential to your studies are Queen's Online and the Library and its online facilities.

You can borrow Notebook computers (Laptops) in most of the Libraries and avail of the wireless service to connect your Notebook computer.

To support your studies and improve your IT skills at the same time, Information Services provides step-by-step, easy to follow Training Materials.  If you want to go a step further and get an accreditation, you can complete the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) (which also contributes to Degree Plus).

Information Services operates a small shop for staff and students on the ground floor of the McClay Library.  Consumables and services delivered are computer supplies, stationery, specialist colour output, software - please click on Consumables/IT Shop.
