Access to the Library
Students and staff of Queen's University Belfast are automatically members of the Library.
If you are not a student or member of staff of Queen's University Belfast and wish to join the Library please see Library Membership for further details.
Any member of the public can use the Medical Library and Biomedical Library for reference and study purposes without prior registration.
The McClay Library, however, operates a controlled entry system. Members are required to use their Queen's staff, student or library card to obtain admission.

Important safety Information
Safety information is displayed throughout the Libraries and it is important that you familiarise yourself with this information on arrival. If you have any particular evacuation requirements then please inform a member of staff at the Reception Desk or Borrower Services desks who will be able to advise you accordingly.
In the McClay Library, data in the visitor registration system will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and will be only used for the purpose of providing visitor access and reporting upon visitor numbers.
