Open Access to Queen's Research
The Library strongly encourages Queen’s authors to deposit a copy of their author manuscripts (post peer-review) on acceptance for publication in the University’s Institutional Repository, even if funding for open access (OA) publishing has been sought. On publication, Library staff will liaise with Queen’s authors as to which version of their research paper should be made public via the Queen’s Research Portal.
The Library will provide a mediated deposit service to assist researchers in making research outputs OA through the Queen’s Research Portal. This will include information on publisher options around the two routes to OA, known as Green and Gold, metadata and copyright checking and information on current funder policies.
A Queen's Open Access Publications Policy is available. This policy will be updated over time to reflect further changes in national policy OA and in the administration of OA at Queen's.
