Group Study Rooms
A total of 21 group study rooms are available in the McClay Library, designed to facilitate and encourage collaborative work. The rooms provide discussion and study space for groups of 5 to 13 students. All are equipped with a PC. The larger rooms feature either a plasma screen or fixed projection facilities.
Queen’s students are able to book group study rooms in advance, using an online booking form which can be accessed from the services section of Queen's Online.
Bookings may be placed for periods of between 1 and 3 hours for use on the same day or the following day. A minimum of 2 students may make use of a room - they are not intended for single study.
The Library Group Bookings page displays current bookings. The bookings are also displayed on plasma screens within the library.
Most of the study rooms are located on Floors 1 to 3. Two study rooms are located within the Extended Hours Study Room. Floorplans near the lifts on Floors 1 - 3 display room locations on each floor.
The room are distributed as follows:
Ground Floor: Rooms 1 and 2
First Floor: Rooms 3 - 7
Second Floor: Rooms 8 - 16
Third Floor: Rooms 17 - 21
