A number of laptops are available for loan to Queen’s students and staff in The McClay Library, Medical Library and Biomedical Library.
You can borrow a laptop for use in The McClay Library from the self-service lockers on the ground floor. Laptops for use in either the Medical Library or Biomedical Library can be borrowed from the Borrower Services Desk.
The laptops are for library use only and connect to wireless networks within the buildings.
The laptops allow access to most of the resources available from the Student Computing Centres, including the Internet, Queen's Online, e-mail and Microsoft applications. Printing facilities are also available.
Laptops are issued for five hour periods and cannot be reserved or renewed. All overdue loans are subject to fines. You will not be able to borrow if you have any outstanding charges. Overdue laptops are subject to a fine of 50p per hour (or part hour).
You will be liable for a replacement charge to cover the cost of a lost or damaged laptop.
