Student Computing Area in The McClay Library

Queen's staff and students can log on to PC workstations in all of the libraries using their Queen's ID and password to access the Queen's online resources.

HSC and AFBI members of the Library can also log on to PCs using their username and password to access online resources on the HONNI and AFBI websites.

Associate members of the Library can log on to the PCs using their own ID and password to access a more limited range of online resources.

A number of laptops are available for loan to Queen's staff and students in The McClay Library, Medical Library and Biomedical Library. Laptops can also be borrowed by HSC members of the library in the Medical Library and Biomedical Library.

WiFi access is possible throughout the library buildings.  Queen's uses a secure network, so you will need to download access software before you get connected. Ask at the IT Service Desk on the ground floor of The McClay Library if you have any problems with network connections.

Computing Assistants may also be available to help you get the best from the University's computing facilities.

Copying, Printing and Scanning

There are Multifunctional Devices (MFDs) available in all of the libraries. These allow you to photocopy, print and scan material.

You can print from your PC or wireless laptop to any of the MFDs in the Student Computer Areas including the libraries.
