EU Travel Grant

Aim: The aim of the EU Travel Grant is to facilitate participation in the EU Framework Programmes (FP7 and Horizon 2020).

Eligibility: Applications can be made by researchers at Queen’s University Belfast. The scheme covers all fields eligible for funding in FP7/Horizon 2020.

Eligible costs include least-cost travel expenses and potential meeting organisation costs as per institutional guidelines. Researchers will need to apply for each trip individually.

Funding covers visits by QUB researchers abroad to meet potential partners or attendance at EU information days/ workshops relating to FP7/Horizon 2020. The maximum requested funding shall not exceed £1,000. 

Funds will only be transferred on the provision of final receipts and a one-page report on the outcomes of the meeting will be required. Applicants should note that 1) overheads, 2) sabbaticals, 3) conferences fees and 4) course work fees are not covered by this programme.

Application Procedure: Please complete the Application Form below and submit to European Research Manager, Dr Lydia Lepecuchel, in the Research and Enterprise Directorate. All applications should be submitted in advance of travel and on this application form. Queries with respect to previously approved funding and receipt of approved costs should be made to our EU office
