Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences early career workshop – Applying for research funding 

The workshops will take place on Tuesday 22, Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 October

Research Development is running three workshops for early career researchers in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences on the preparation of research bids focusing especially on the AHRC and ESRC.

The workshops will cover:

  • Choosing a funder/scheme
  • How research funders work
  • Qualities of a good research bid
  • Specific aspects of bid-writing including writing style, research question, justification of resources, etc.       
  • Practical tips for bid writing
  • Additional considerations for collaborative/multi-disciplinary bids

Semester Two 2013/2014

Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences early career workshop – Applying for research funding

Research Development will be running workshops in the second semester for early career researchers and others in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences on the preparation of research bids focusing especially on the AHRC and ESRC.

The workshops will cover:
