How do I set up an automatic scan for my publications?

Pure automatically scans journals held within online sources to identify publications which are authored by QUB researchers which have Pure accounts. To set up a scan for publications:

Click ‘Edit profile’ on your Personal overview page.

On the left-hand-side bar, click on the option ‘automatic search’.

If you would like to receive e-mail otifications of your scan results you can select ‘Inform me by e-mail when candidates are found’. Select a source(s) you wish to scan and click on ‘Add name’ to type in the name you wish to be scanned. You can edit or delete names by hovering over them or add more names to scan. Make sure to include all the variations of your name which have been used across all your research outputs. Please click ‘Save’ after you make any changes

When potential publications have been found, they will appear on your To-Do List and you will receive a notification by email (if you have selected this option) stating that Pure has found a publication which it considers you have authored.

In your To-Do List, click on the ‘Possible matches in ..’ to open a list of publications. You can now import the publication by clicking on the button Import, or remove the publication from the list by clicking on the cross. You can also refuse to import the publication if you do not wish to claim ownership.

If you receive notification by email, you can decline or accept the invitation to claim authorship of the publication.  If you accept, the information will be imported and the main editing window will open to allow you to make any changes and add further information as appropriate.
